IS 10262:2019 — Detailed Section Flow

S1
Section 1: Common Inputs
Grade designation (M10–M100), type of exposure (mild to extreme), nominal max aggregate size, workability (slump target), placing method, and construction type.
S2
Section 2: Target Strength
Calculates target mean strength from characteristic strength using the formula f'ck = fck + 1.65 × S, where S is the standard deviation from IS 456 Table 11. Auto-fills based on grade and data source (overall/last 5/last 10).
S3
Section 3: Water-Cement Ratio
Select from IS 456 Table 5 (durability) or calculate from strength curve. System picks the lower of the two ratios as the design w/c. Also considers SCM replacement adjustments.
S4
Section 4: Water & Cement Content
Water from IS 10262 Table 4 (based on max aggregate size and slump). Cement = Water / (w/c ratio). Adjusted for admixture dosage and SCM replacement percentage.
S5
Section 5: Aggregate Proportions
Coarse aggregate volume from IS 10262 Table 5 (based on w/c ratio and aggregate size). Fine aggregate by difference. Adjusted for water absorption, moisture correction, and aggregate blending.
Note: At each section, inputs auto-calculate from your previous selections and material library data. You can override any value. The Summary page shows the complete mix proportions in kg/m³.

Unified Hub — Multi-Method Comparison

Enter your requirements once. The system runs all 6 methods simultaneously and presents a side-by-side comparison table with:

  • Cement content per m³
  • Total water demand
  • Coarse and fine aggregate quantities
  • Admixture dosage
  • Estimated cost per m³
  • Compliance matrix against IS 456 durability requirements

Testing Workflows

50+ test types with automatic IS/ACI/ASTM compliance checking. Every test gets a professional PDF certificate.

Concrete Testing Workflow

1
Log Pour / Delivery
Create a pour entry in the Pour Register. Link it to a mix design. Record delivery details: vehicle, driver, distance, time.
2
Fresh Concrete Tests
IS 1199 tests at the point of delivery: slump, temperature, air content, density, unit weight. Weather conditions logged automatically via GPS + Open-Meteo API.
3
Cast Specimens
Record cube/cylinder casting: number of specimens, dimensions, curing tank assignment, expected test dates (7, 14, 28, 56, 90 days).
4
Record Results
Enter per-specimen load (kN) and mass (kg). System auto-calculates compressive strength, checks IS 456 acceptance (individual & group of 4), and flags failures.
Auto-NCR: When a specimen fails IS 456 criteria, the system automatically creates a Non-Conformance Report (NCR) linked to the test.
5
Generate Certificate
Professional PDF test certificate with IS-code reference, compliance status, charts (strength trend, individual results), and digital signatures.

QAQC Workflows

Built-in quality management for RMC plants, precast yards, and construction sites. ISO 9001-aligned processes.

NCR Management Workflow

1
Raise NCR
Manually or auto-triggered when test results fail IS 456 criteria. Auto-generates NCR code (NCR-YYYY-####). Records non-conformance details, affected product, and severity.
2
Root Cause Analysis (5M+E)
Analyze using the 5M+E framework: Man, Machine, Material, Method, Measurement + Environment. Tag contributing factors and attach evidence photos.
3
CAPA (Corrective & Preventive)
Link corrective and preventive actions to the NCR. Assign responsibility, set deadlines, track completion. Verification step confirms effectiveness.
4
Close & Report
Review all actions, verify effectiveness, close NCR. Generate closure report with full timeline, root cause summary, and preventive measures taken.

SPC Control Charts Workflow

1
Select Grade & Parameter
Choose the concrete grade and parameter to monitor (compressive strength, slump, w/c ratio). System loads historical test data automatically.
2
Calculate Control Limits
System computes UCL, LCL, CL (X-bar and R charts) from your data. Calculates process capability indices: Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk. Flags out-of-control points using Western Electric rules.
3
Monitor & Alert
Interactive charts update as new results are entered. Out-of-control triggers auto-generate alerts. Export SPC reports with trend analysis for management reviews.
Pro Tip: Set up SPC for your top 3 grades first. The system learns from your historical data — after 20+ data points, control limits stabilize and you get meaningful capability indices.

The free plan gives you 3 lifetime mix designs with full access to all 6 design methods. You can add unlimited materials to your library, run mix designs, and export reports. After 3 designs, upgrade to Pro for unlimited access.
India: IS 10262:2019 is the standard for all structural concrete. International: ACI 211 for US-style projects, BRMCA for UK/Middle East. SCC: EFNARC method. Not sure? Use the Unified Hub to compare all methods at once.
Yes. Add materials to your library with actual IS-code properties (specific gravity, fineness, absorption, grading). The mix design calculator uses your real data instead of assumed values, giving you more accurate proportions.
When you enter concrete test results, the system automatically checks IS 456 acceptance criteria (both individual specimen and group of 4 average). If a result fails, it auto-creates an NCR with the pour details, test data, and non-compliance reason. You then complete the root cause analysis and CAPA.
Yes. The platform provides a REST API (v1) with JWT authentication, API key management, and rate limiting. Available on Pro and Enterprise plans. Endpoints cover mix designs, materials, tests, and report generation. See the API documentation after login for full details.
30+ templates across all modules: mix design proportioning, concrete/cement/aggregate test certificates, SPC capability reports, NCR/CAPA closure letters, batch tickets, consolidated multi-test reports, and more. Available in PDF, Excel, Word, and CSV formats.
The platform uses Open-Meteo API to fetch real-time weather at your plant location. It applies ACI 305R evaporation rate calculation, flags hot/cold weather conditions, and can send daily weather reports via email. GPS location capture is available on all test forms for automatic weather logging.
